This qualification is designed to meet the needs of senior managers within building and construction firms. Occupational titles may include:
  • Project manager
  • Construction manager
  • Estimating manager
  • Sales manager
The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context. Completion of the general construction induction training program specified by the model Code of Practice for Construction Work is required for any person who is to carry out construction work. Achievement of unit CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement. Additional units of competency may be required to meet builder or project manager registration requirements in various States and Territories.
